Why We Started Encompass
We're tired of hearing women tell us they've been to three, four, five different providers and been blown off. We wanted to build a place that starts with one idea: we believe you when you say something is off. You are not just a smaller version of a man. Your hormones, your body, your whole picture matter to your diagnosis, not just the piece in front of us.
We love that our work is specific to women. We love that we get to help you feel better in your skin, better about yourself, more empowered. Women take care of everyone — now we get to take care of you.
We're trained in reproductive psychiatry, which means if another provider has told you they're not comfortable prescribing your medication during pregnancy, you can come to us. We'll tell you the truth: often, it's safe, and you can stay on it.
We believe you when you tell us something's wrong.
We take our time and really listen so we understand what's happening.
We keep looking for answers until we find them.
We have snacks.
What We Promise You
Your Questions, Answered
-
We're trained in reproductive psychiatry, which means we understand how hormones — not just brain chemistry in isolation — affect mental health. If another provider has told you they're not comfortable treating you during pregnancy, postpartum, or perimenopause, we can. We treat the whole picture, not just the piece in front of us.
-
No. Many patients come to us after being told their symptoms are "just stress" or "just part of being a woman" without ever getting a real answer. Figuring out what's actually going on is part of what we do.
-
Often, yes — and we'll tell you the truth about it. A lot of providers default to "stop everything" out of caution rather than knowledge. We're trained specifically in this, and we'll walk you through what's actually safe rather than what's easiest for someone else to say.
-
No. You can come to us for brain fog, hot flashes, or sleep issues even if you don't feel anxious or depressed at all. Menopause care doesn't require a mental health crisis as the entry point.
-
Everything from hormone-driven concerns — PMDD, perinatal depression/anxiety/OCD, menopause and HRT — to general mental health: depression, anxiety, ADHD, mood disorders, and insomnia. Full details are on our [What We Treat] page.
-
Yes — medication management is a core part of what we do, handled with the same whole-picture approach as everything else here.
-
At our practice, we focus primarily on medication management. Able to offer brief, supportive therapy during times of acute stress or adjustment. For more in-depth or ongoing therapy needs, we believe you’ll be best supported by a dedicated therapist outside of our clinic. We are happy to recommend trusted providers to help you find the right fit for your care.
-
No. We don't believe in scaring you into a $1,200/month proprietary blend or an $800 lab panel that promises to explain everything. We believe in listening, evidence-based care, and being honest about what will actually help.
